Speech and Drama Section

This section offers opportunities to compete at all levels from age 5. Classes include Verse Speaking, Original Verse with performance, Prose, Spoken English, many Solo Acting classes, Duologues and group work including Musical Theatre. Non competitive classes are also available. School groups are warmly welcomed and we try to achieve a nurturing and creative atmosphere for the competitors to flourish.

This venue for this section is the All Saints Church of England Primary School, 116 Oakleigh Road North, Whetstone, London N20 9EZ.

Prizes and Certificates

This year we will be presenting a Speech and Drama Bursary for £150 (please see syllabus for details), cups, shields and tokens for the highest marked competitors. The Drama Versatility Cup for highest marks over 3 classes for 13-18 years and the Junior Versatility Cup for highest marks over 3 classes for 12 and under. In addition the first 3 competitors in each section will receive Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals plus certificates and each competitor will have a written adjudication sheet.

Please note our adjudicators come from either British Federation, GODA or are LAMDA teachers, performers, poets and all with vast knowledge in their particular field.
