J & A Beare Solo Bach Competition
This is the premier competition for violin, viola and cello players and takes place before the main Festival begins. It is intended for players of conservatoire standard and beyond up to 30 years of age.
First Prize - £1,000 cash with a recital opportunity in central London and an afternoon at the premises of J & A Beare, the world renowned violin dealers.
Second Prize - £500 cash.
Third Prize - £300 cash.
