January 2017: A Letter From Frances Glynne, Speech & Drama Secretary
I am very much looking forward to another entertaining day at The Bull Theatre. I hope you’re all enjoying the rehearsals, where you’ve been creating new and exciting stuff together in a group. Because if you’ve had fun – if you’ve felt even a little bit pleased and surprised with yourself and your fellow actors – then you’re going to have a ball at the festival! Because that moment when you leave behind your usual rehearsal space and into a proper theatre, gives you a sense of occasion, and a sprinkle of theatre magic, that lifts performances to the next level.
We have a wonderful adjudicator this year – Jenny Thornton is returning to the North London Festival and we are really looking forward to listening to her encouraging and constructive comments! Helen has been involved with amateur theatre for as long as she can remember. Her parents, her husband, both her children, and one of her dogs, have all taken part in local productions!
We look forward to receiving your entries! Our secretary for all entries is Mrs. Sooriya Jeyabavan. Email firstname.lastname@example.org, closing date for entries is Friday 5th March. For all enquiries regarding syllabus and timing please do not hesitate in contacting me on 07950918355.
